So that rumour was bullshit? Seems logical. It does not look like a game that cannot be run in 1080p. Far from it. Although I do like how the call of duty games actually look, so I don't need much more to enjoy this game.

Call of duty looks fantastic...

OXM uses Eurogamer as source.. smh. Interviewer never asks Activision or the guys at IW and assumes that its running at 1080P based on second hand information from reps at E3 - who may or may not correct. Seems legit alright. 

That's what i was thinking, the article is written sketchy as hell.

I believe if it was really running at 1080p, they would just come out and say it and not stuff like ''Resolution is the king'' when asked about the issue. This way, it seems like damage control. 

2160p/Ultra HD  is the same as 4k. One is the vertical resolution (2160 pixels) and the other horizontal (3840 pixels) 8k is also just 4320p and 16k is 8640p. 1080p is 2k.

They are both capable of doing 4k, lets say Tetris in 4k would be easily possible on both or even New Super Mario Bros Wii  in 4k. It just depends on the complexity of the scene and the framerate the Gpu has to Render.

Actually, there's just no objective information whatsoever in the article. The article tries it's best to completely avoid commenting on the 720p rumor, instead it's full of irrelevant anecdotes meant to convince people that the graphics are fine (no matter what the actual resolution might be)

Many Xbox fans will probably still tell themselves that the game uses 1080p, because so far nobody has officially confirmed something else.

But the more realististic Xbox fans will realise that in practice, this is almost a confirmation. It's from Infinity Ward, so the people who wrote this apparently not only know the rumors, but also the true resolution of the Xbone version. So they could have obviously just stated: "That rumor is complete bullshit, the Xbone version is also running at 1080p/60". But they didn't do that, instead they were sticking to irrelevant or even misleading anecdotes, like about the game running on 4K TVs. So it seems extremely likely that the Xbone version is indeed not running at a native 1080p resolution as they stated several months ago - maybe higher than 720p, but definitely less than 1080p.

Yes, of course the game can run in 1080p.

Just not on Xbone.
