Most important??, really???? more than Hardware, developement ease and 1st party studios?????? No way...

Its like you guys totally missed the last part of my post.

That doesn't change the fact that you don't consider those as most important. And this is not about how things will be en 12-18 months, because if we think that way, the point of "launching games" become irrelevant...I think EDGE compares PS4 and X1, now.

So you ignore my earlier post where I say this is a weak piece all round?  At the end of a day its an opinion, no better than your or my opinion.

But yeah, if we are gonna give the whole piece some creedance, then I'll take best controller, best games, best media services, as thats pretty much the most important aspects tbh.

Nice try but just because you say the article is weak doesn't change the fact that you were glad to see what they had to say about launch games and controllers while then essentially calling them morons for other points they made. So if they're morons why accept anything they say? Could it simply be that you are just looking for validation on your own thoughts and you'll even take the words of people you call morons on it?

Why would I read it if I find it terrible?

How do you know it's terrible if you don't read it?

Hmm, pie.

Next Gen face off? Where's Wii U then? they'd at least nick the "First Party Studios" and "Second Screen Experience" ^^ so it would more be like:
Xbox: 4
Sony: 4
Nintendo: 2

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

The "Cloud tech" category is a bit silly at this stage. Still, it's kind of funny to see people get upset over Microsoft not winning. They've proven nothing, yet--especially when the poster game for "the Cloud" is also on the 360 and PC. Just because they use "Cloud power" as a catch phrase doesn't mean anything, unless it's that repeating something over and over will eventually make people believe you without question.

Besides, it's Edge. They go way to heavy on sensationalism to take seriously.

we already know Driveclub, The Order, and Infamous compared to Titanfall (likely timed) in the Spring.  That's launch window.  Besides like I said in this thread MS already announced they'll have at most 15 first party games in the first year (at most=that's what they announced at Xbox One reveal so there could be delays) while Sony said at E3 they'll have at most 20 first party games in the first year (same note about at most).

Games launching 3+ Months after the console launches arent launch window games. Launch window games are generally games releasing within the first couple of Months. Not a full Quarter later. We dont even have release dates for DriveClub, inFamous of The Order.

Driceclub is "early 2014". inFamous is March. The Order doesnt even have a launch window itself, all we know is its coming in 2014.

On top of all that, the point isnt about launch window games its about launch games, and Xbox One really stomps PS4 into the ground in that category.

I read it. I don't read it. Past/present.

That depends on who you ask, apparently. IGN's little wiki for launch titles describes launch window games as anything launched by the end of March. It's not the first time I've heard someone refer to games released in the first full quarter AFTER the quarter in which the console released as "launch window". Mind you when I say quarter I am referring to calendar, not fiscal.

Surprises are Cloud and Social media.

Cloud would have thought goes to Microsoft since that is all you hear about them.

Social media you woudl think goes to Sony cause of the whole fact there is a freaking share button on the controller.

But it seems half the results are pure SPECULATION, so totally pointless and everyone should just ignore this.  Feels like Obama winning the peace prize before he even steps into office again.  Winning an award before being earned and based solely on speculating that something will be such.
