why is the cloud part hilariously weak? this is what i expect from this kind of thread, they are right when the X1 wins and wrong when the PS4 wins. 

the reality is that the full article isnt out, and we just have the results, i have stated why i think the X1 controller shouldnt win as it uses AA batteries, which i really havent used in anything in literally years outside of flashlights, not having a built in rechargable battery is a huge draw back. however you just state that xbox one should win on the cloud features because... well.. you just assume microsoft has better gaming cloud services because they offer non gaming cloud services else where.

Can't say anything about it. I don't have either of the consoles so I can't compare them. And that's why I also can't tell if EDGE is correct or not. End of story.

Edge is also a terrible magazine so I don't think anything they say hold ground.

PS4 has Gaikai is a tested tech and established one, what does Xbone have? So, Microsoft promising big is now better than an established tech? Good logic!

PS3 controller was way better than 360 controller imo. So, PS4 should win 7 categories out of 10 which is expected. I don't mind Xbone winning on games at the beginning because they will not have this advantage in the long run as we saw in the last gen.

im not sure what you consider cloud services to be, but PS3 and xbox 360 both have cloud services. for example saving files online is a cloud service, and both PS3 and xbox 360 offer that. so claiming both xbox one and PS4 dont have any is false, they do.

These 2 can be switched methinks.  Either way it's 6-4 PS4 without even factoring in the price and since I like DS3 better than the 360 controller already I'm pretty sure I know which controller I'll like more.  First party studios is most important and then third (behind controller) is probably hardware since it'll help facilitate the development of those first party games.  So PS4 wins my top 3 categories but I already knew that which is why I've had one preordered.

EDIT: Also aren't "Media and Services" and "Social Services" kinda the same?  They're talking about non gaming apps right?

while im not a fan of gaming websites ignoring WiiU from next gen articles and comparisons, this article is striclty a comparison between the xbox one and PS4.

PS4 wins 6-4, though Xbox One wins in the most important areas - Launch Games and Controller. All in all pretty even as expected.

We aint gonna see the major differences 'till 12-18 Months down the line.

Launch games.  First party studios and indies it gave to PS4.  Short term (this Fall), if you don't count indies, Xbox will have more games.  The quality still is yet to be decided and that's always the wildcard but long term you only need to look at this gen and the fact that they both announced how many first party studio games would be out in the first year (Xbox=15 with 8 new IP while PS4 said 20 with 12 new IP).
