Forums - Nintendo Discussion - This is scary stuff - SM3DW still not on preorder chart.

You know its a scary time for Nintendo when new IPs such as Knack and Ryse: Son of Rome appear on preorder charts on NEW consoles whereas extablished franchise such as 3D Mario on an already released console doesn't.

At first I thought it was naturally  because of the low interest in the game since E3, but the opinon seemed to have change since the October 1 Direct. So why hasn't the game still not appeaed on the preorder chart 3 weeks later? With less than 4 weeks to release, having less than 50k preorders for a system seller does not seem to be a good sign for Wii U and Nintendo.

Where the marketing for your AAA games at Nintendo?!

I dont think Mario games are the kind of games you preorder...

Have a nice day...

i am honestly not worried at all.

People preorder Mario games a lot?

Just look at previous preorder charts, SMG2 and NSMBU were both preordered quite a bit in comparison to its launch so its not that people don't preorder it. It's just that there is no buzz going around this time so close to launch that there should be. It's the next 3D Mario game after all in HD.

Well Super Mario Galaxy 2 had about 427k pre orders and New Super Mario Bros Wii did about 347k of pre orders!

Also Super mario 3d land did abut 159k.

And they all sold well, there is no reason to be scared!

Launch games are naturally going to have inflated preorders compared to sales, so it's not a fair comparison.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I think it will appear in the List in the last 2 or 3 Weeks. But yes, Mario-Games are not the games that you usually pre order. There are tons of the in every local store, so there is nor reason for.

No big deal

Nintendo Does Not = Big Pre orders
Nintendo Does = Long Legs

I buying it day one but haven't pre-ordered it yet. Pre-orders are useless anyway
