Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Are We getting Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon On WiiU? Last Month was Newegg now Its Best Buy!

Luigi Mansion 2 Sale Lifetime on WiiU would be____

Over 2mil 29 23.97%

1.5mil-2mil 16 13.22%

1mil-1.5mil 31 25.62%

500k-1mil 45 37.19%

Total:121

My first thought is that it would make more sense for a game to go from an underappreciated console that no one has to the much loved one that everyone has (Wii U to 3DS). But the Wii U needs all the help it can get.

I could understand if they put a B-team on a port and not take any time and resources away from the real talent that develops new games. I hated the original Luigi's Mansion though, so this one would have to be worlds better for me to even consider picking up.

it is. everything they do they are testing for the future.  My theory is that a dedicated home console for them is a risky, high stakes, zero sum game for the for the most part. Handhelds by themselves are getting riskier to launch and maintain for the most part as well. But if they could combine the two into a fantastic all-purpose device, then at least they could count on one superstrong revenue stream, instead of  two possibly subpar ones. Then as well, that helps explain why they are not interested in the high tech war. If they want to combine the two devices into one next gen, they have to keep them in the same ballpark graphics and technology wise. All this shit they have been doing that just seems like they are dicking around, stuff like transporting miis and dabbling in connectivity, it is all just a means to an end.

That would suck -.-

Wayyyyyyyy to close to each other version lol. Thought DK Returns was bad o.O

It's fine if it's from console to handheld because it's a downgrade but the other way around is annoying since the console version will obviously be superior!

I prefer Resident Evil Revelations on the 3DS . So no. That isnt inherent

We are getting Dark Moon but why we're getting Brain Age to me imo is strange

Resident Evil Revelations HD is still objectively better than the 3DS version when compared on the same level.

It's just that for a console port it added hardly anything new.

But Resident Evil Revelations is a poor example considering that it's a poor port.

... Its not a poor port at all.

Its just a very handheld-esque game and it suits handhelds better imo.

Its a bundle yet to be revelead. It happens a lot, since the code of product relate do 3DS

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Would be cool if it's true, but I prefer a completley new Luigi's Mansion OR a complete new Luigi game.

If it happens I hope they include the original Luigi's Mansion as well, I'm one of those who never got a chance to play that game. If they do I'll buy several copies.

Co-sign, I own a lot of Gamecube games but the original Luigi's Mansion is one game that I haven't owned or played.   If they made this a double bill with both games then it'd be a definite buy.

Its not a bad idea to have it on both systems... as long as they have a save feature like MH3U. Wish RE:R had it!!

Nintendo mentioned that more cross play games are coming... could this be one of them? 3DS owners would get it for free and i, as a Wii U owner who didn`t get this for my 3DS, would gladly buy it! :)

i would really welcome this news. I loved the first luigi's mansion and was pretty bummed when i heard the new one was for the 3ds since i don 't do any mobile gaming. The only downside i could see would be the graphics would be subpar for a console. Didn't really care for revelations trip to console land graphics wise. Nintendo's art style tends to be more timeless though, so maybe it'd be fine.
