Nocturne was way too tough for my tastes. I don't mind difficult games, but that one was just frustrating. Digital Devil Saga is like baby's first Atlus RPG. Not bad but nothing special. Persona 3 and 4 are the greatest JRPGs ever made. In my humble opinion of course.

Why Persona 3 by any chance? i mean i get persona 4 and love the hell out of it too (wouldn't put it at my top JRPGS but definitely amazing), but why persona 3? I mean climbing the tower is boring as hell, the levels look the same, the music is the same throughout, the fusions are crap/random, luck plays way too big of a role when you face something with mudo. What makes you like persona 3 that much?

The game was paced perfectly for an RPG. I didn't find myself stuck on one part for hours on end like I did with Nocturne, or bogged down in boring sequences like with DDS. The game was constantly moving. I felt like there was something to do every day, people to talk to, quests to complete, relationships to build. It never slowed down for me. Plus I enjoyed climbing the Tartarus. It was a bit repitive but that didn't bother me too much because of how much I enjoyed the battle system. The music was also very catchy. I agree with you about the fusions though, those could have been handled better.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Radiant HIstoria and Catherine > Persona.
P3 > P4 themewise.

Only play Digital Devil Saga and Persona. Didn't like DDS but loved Persona.

I'm guessing you had trouble against Matador.  Other than Lucifer, he's the hardest boss in the game.  Unlike the other fiends, Matador is the only one you can't skip.  They probably meant to allow you to skip him, but forgot to add the option.  The game is really well balanced otherwise.

As for being the hardeset boss in the game, I mean the difficulty of the boss for the area you're at in comparison to bosses when you're at other parts in the game.

Is there any chance you belong to Sonys marketing team?

I've played a bit of all three. (DDS1, P3, Lucifer's call/Nocturne)

Although those battlesystems are somewhat similar it's the way it is dressed up that differs. Personally I enjoyed DDS a little bit more than the other two. Lucifer's call was pretty hard so the story of dds wins it for me.

Persona all the way.

I'm gonna be honest with you. I've always loved the SMT series, and I've tried out P3P and P4G, and found them to be a but overrated, atleast IMO.

I've only completed Persona 4 Golden, currently playing Persona 3 FES. I don't think any SMT game can come near to topping Persona 4 Golden for me.

My step brother has played a lot though, he is a big fan of Nocturne. I think his order of ranking goes Persona 3 FES > Persona 4 > Nocturne, although now that he has played Golden, that order might have changed.
