I pay 57.99 for mine. For some reason, maybe my wireless, I do not see the free increase I just got from EPB. It went from 30 to 50 for free a few months ago and just recently from 50 to 100..
I could upgrade to 1gig a second speed for only 12.00 more a month but my fastest download so far is 12mbs a second off of Steam. I think I will wait to upgrade til I can see a difference in DL speed

Is your computer hooked up to the wifi too?
the more devices you have on a wireless connection the less bandwidth each device recieves (due to how wireless data transfer works).

So it might just be that you have lots of devices on your wireless and it is beginning to show the 'bad' part about wireless networks

but uhm.. you are getting 100Mbit from your provider. do you mean 12MB/s or 12Mbps from steam?
you should be downloding in the 9-12MB/s range on a 100Mbit connection

you are talking to a server to get the speed, it isn't dedicated to just you.
my DL varied ~100mbps between 2 runs so.. yeah :P it varies cause the server has varied ammount of things to do each time you try.

my point was that it isn't accurate so we won't really get a real result out of it :P

Yeah I have been bad lately about putting in "a second" after mbs knowing full well its part of mbs. I know better but my fingers get ahead of my brain.
