The funny thing is that these games that people are impressed with so far (this, KZ:SF) are simply launch titles that are effectively the same level as PC games on "High" (see Crysis 3 or Metro: Last Light on PC).

This time next year I think we'll have some truly jaw dropping games that'll really show off what next gen will be about.

I suspect Ryse will do well enough to warrant a sequel so it'd be nice to see how far Crytek can actually push the X1 when they have the time to do so.

Personally i think Metro: Last Light at full spec shits all over next gen :/

And quite frankly i think it will be tough for next gen to equal or surpass what we already see on Metro today. Gonna be interesting to see what the devs can ahieve with next gen especially first party

Exciting times!

That's why I said High and not "Ultra" or "Very High"

I really want to see what devs can make this hardware do. Exciting times indeed

Their already is a planned Ryse 2. Not a sequel to Rome. But a game following early English Knights. Maybe Knights of the round table?

If they go the same route as the King Arthur film and have it follow on from the fall of Rome then they could have a familial link between the two titles protagonists.

Hopefully it doesn't turn out like the film though as it was really shit.

I am a huge fan of ancient Rome shows and movies so this is a must have for me.

It really is funny to see the shift online as more is shown of the game, particularly on Gaf. People went from straight shitting on the mere mention of the game to nitpicking little visual issues. All that is left is for us to get some decent gameplay and a story good enough to keep us interested. Of course anything better than decent and good enough is a welcome.
Anyway, the fact that this LAUNCH title looks so good bodes well for the X1 going forward with all of the shit that's been brought up about how weak it is an whatnot.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Yep Xbox One looks mighty compitent in the wake of all 50% power this and that rubbish. Microsoft were right about the dont  go off  raw power speak.

I am extremely disappointed.

Based on some comments in the previous Ryse threads, I was expecting the game to look really bad. Where are the downgrades? Bastards!

These images don't even do the visual quality justice. The actual 1920x1080 screen shots are amazing!

It's only 1600x900.

Does look great though. It's the only game I'm picking up at midnight for launch.

I don't believe its rubbish, sure ryse is the best looking nextgen game imo, buts its still to early to judge, we need to see how the frame rate holds up, screen tearing etc, and even though ps4 is more powerful doesnt mean we wont have stunning games on xbone, just look at mgs2 and resident evil 4 on ps2 which impressed the hell out of me despite owning an xbox, and xbox was like 2x more powerful.the  ps4 power will be proven with muliplatform games imo.

Looks like my wife is going to kill me because I'm about to pre-order another game!

This far exceeds what I was expecting visually for a launch title.

I'm sceptical towards the gameplay but there's no doubt the graphics are unprecedented. If I would buy an Xbone at launch I would certainly buy this game. That would be so exciting.

Ryse and KI day 1 for me.
