Mirosoft could make and release countless new products and take a loss on evey single one of them, and would still manage to make billions in profit every quarter. I really admire how successful their business is. A job well done.

Huge profits once again and lots of great new things are being launched.

I wish they'd report sales of the new Surface tablet. One of my friends bought one and it looks very nice and also very useful and much much better than an Ipad.
The Windows 8.1 update was good too. I actually didn't like Windows 8 in the beginning but I like it much better now and more than Windows 7. It just takes time to get used to. The next thing I need is a Windows phone and all my daily technology products will use MS software.

Give merits where it's due. Those guys know about businesses. They might lose money on some products but their overall results are amazing..

They most likely rounded up.  They probably only shipped ~200K-300K.  This would put them at 79.6M-79.7M.  They will definitely reach 80M by the end of Oct, though.

I believe MS announced they will be offering the same $50 temp price cut from last year, but I don't it starts til the Halo 4 Bundle launches in early Nov.

I expected a pretty quite Q. Flat, maybe a tiny plus YoY, but 18% / 17% increase YoY in revenue and profits is HUGE.

MS bought Nokia with the profits they make every 3 months. This is so unreal.
