Forums - Gaming Discussion - Polygon: PS4's Need for Speed Rivals more visually impressive than PC version

Shitty port confirmed.

if the ultra settings look worse on pc it's ea to blame, not the pc as platform

i mean, normally the ps4 version should be maybe like the high settings on pc or ultra but never better as ultra.

This is assuming there is an Ultra setting.

true, let me say "the highest possible settings"

but as long as ea doesn't give pc players something like they always do with fifa...

PS4 at best can look on Par with PC but cant visually look more impressive. PC's dont have a limit or a wall to hit where as a PS4 does. Only way for it to even be on Par with a PC is if the game was program for PC and PS4 to look the same but PS4 can never look better.. unless there using a shit computer.

This not make any sense at all, ps4 can't look better than the max settings of pc versions...period.

They can if they're made that way. But really, I'd buy this on PS4 (am now, since DriveClub is a March title), because the PC version is locked to 30fps as is.

did they confirm march for DriveClub?

and huh? the PC version is locked to 30FPS? why?

I wonder how multiplats from PS4 and XB1 will compare to each other.

We all do.

s/can't/shouldn't

It depends on the dev-team, of course.

They already hinted the PS4 version will lock better but I'm surprised that better than PC O.O

Go build a pc that is the equivalent of the 360 and try running far cry 3 on it. it's not going to happen. period. The fact of the matter is you can get so much more out of a console than you can a pc using less. It's baffling that people havent realized that yet. There will be plenty of games on the new consoles that look better than any game on pc for the next few years and then obviously the pc versions will pull away as hardware gets better. It's no different than gears of war 1 on 360, at the time there was not a game on any console or pc that looked as good. Not even Unreal Tournament 3 that obviously used the same engine. Im not sure how many of yall are pc gamers, but you can run 99.9% of pc games maxxed out right now with a computer that is weaker than the next gen consoles. Hell you can run crysis 3 maxxed out at 1080p with gtx 660 ti and intel i7 3770k and 8 gigs of ram with out a problem. If that can run it fine so can either of these dedicated next gen consoles.

I should have mentioned those games would more than likely be exclusives that are focused on the one console only, although there will be cases like the new 2k14 for next gen consoles while the pc build is based off the current gen.  I play all forms of games, I have two kick ass gaming computers and I have every console dating back to the 2600. Im just simply stating its not always so black and white.
