what game would do better on the 3DS

Persona 4 106 57.30%

Dragon's Crown 20 10.81%

Little King Story 25 13.51%

Muramasa: Rebirth 7 3.78%

Machinarium 1 0.54%

Knytt 2 1.08%

even...Sly Cooper 22 11.89%

Total:183

Hopefully, the on-going "collaboration"(idk what;s it called) between Mojang and Nintendo will end into a port of MC into the 3DS. The 3DS can probably run MineCraft if it optimized for it, knowing it can even run RE: Revelations in such awesome graphical settings. As MC is going to be released on the PSV, I hope they end up releasing it on the 3DS too.

Persona 4 and Dragon's Crown probably wouldn't. Persona 4 The Golden sold more than SMT4 did. Dragon's Crown sold twice as much as Code of Princess.  Little King's Story and Muramasa would have also had to be downgraded ports in order to work well on the 3DS.

If these games were multiconsole on both 3DS and Vita they definitely wouldn't because people know that Nintendo fans only buy exclusives, most of which are first party.

*edit*

Your question really doesn't matter anyways.  Here's one for you, matters just as much, or should I say just as little.  Would Shin Megami Tensei 4 sell better on the Vita than it did on the 3DS?  Since it's not a port like Persona 4 The Golden and the port sold better, I'd say yes, probably.  However just as your question doesn't matter, neither does this one.  We know these games aren't going to be on the other system so it's a moot point. We could make baseless assumptions all day long and we could be wrong if it ever did happen.

I'm always confused by the numbers you use...
Persona 4 has been out for a year longer and has sold 100k more, and you have to remember the persona series is much more popular than the main line SMT series, just look at the top 5 selling SMT games. Also dragon's crown sold double of code princess? What? Dragon's crown sold 170k on the vita and code princess sold 150k, how is that anywhere near double?

If you were following you would know that he corrected those things. I don't know about persona 4 selling better on the 3DS because after all they don't exactly purchase 3rd party games in droves unless it's monster hunter.

Probably wouldn't sell as much in the US at this point due to being a old port at this stage but then again Persona 4: Golden on the Vita was outsold by the 3DS port of Tales of the Abyss.

I think Japan would definitely push the majority of the sales for Persona 4 if it was ported to the 3DS., same would apply to the remakes Namco did for Tales of Innocence and Tales of Hearts. Pretty much most RPGs would do much better on the 3DS.

He corrected the dragon's crown numbers yet he failed to acknowledge that the persona series has been far more popular than the main line SMT series. In fact SMT 4 is actually the highest selling main line series game.

And where did i say persona 4 would sell better on the 3ds?  I just have a problem with kupo always throwing out half facts.

Atlus' RPGs are generally growing in popularity now that their fanbase is able to have a more vocal platform (the internet) to advertise word of mouth. Still, P4 is an remake of PS2 title and did better than a brand new game built ground up for 3DS. It's a bit of a wash.

True but i seen wayyyy more talk about persona 4 golden than SMT4, when i talk to people who own a vita, 9 times out of 10 peronsa 4 golden will be a game they own/bought a vita for, both in real life and on the internet. It may be a remake but people treat it as a brand new game.

I don't really understand your second sentence, why wouldn't a persona remake out sell a brand new SMT game? I mean persona 3 portable sold 500k+.... almost 200k more than the previously highest sold SMT game, nocturne.

Can't we just say that Atlus is wise to put Shin Megami Tensei IV on 3DS and P4 Golden on Vita? The former because SMT needs to find a wider following than before, and the latter because Persona has found its audience on Sony platforms?

Dunno, Hard to say. I don't think any of them would do better on the 3DS maybe some of the new IPs like Gravity Rush

SMT Nocturne had a low print when it was first released.  Due to how much of a cult classic it was, it was reprinted three times.

While Atlus had a small amount of fans on the PSX, it was  the PS2 where they grew to be more well known.  It was a slow start but it wasn't until the end of the PS2s life that Atlus become as well known as they are now.  Persona 3 was when Atlus received heavy advetrisement through the local news media because the characters shot themselves in the head.  You could argue  Persona 3 FES how it sold more, but I'll argue that most people didn't know about Persona 3 FES being announced in Japan prior to the US release of Persona 3.  I think that if most people were fans of Atlus earlier, then they'd have played SMT Nocturne when it came out just as they would have played Persona 3 and Persona 4.

You also see way more talk about Persona 4 than SMT4 because SMT4 was a very disappointing sequel.  It's a good game, but it's a good game that is much worse than the last few Persona or SMT releases, not counting Soul Hackers which is a port of a game that's really not too great.

good point and i can agree to that...i was thinking about joining this discussion but I think everything that needs to be said has been said.

I'd like to see Muramasa or Dragons Crown because I like the art style of vanillaware.

Muramasa sold well on the Wii so maybe it would on 3DS as well.
