I've been gaming on PC for the past year but I'm picking up a X1 because I'm ready to play with my XBL friends in the livingroom. I already paid for my X1, COD & BF4 and I'll be downloading KI day one as well. Forza will probably have to wait till Christmas. Dead Rising 3 and Ryse are options only if they get good reviews. XB1 lineup is pretty solid IMO and I will have plenty to play till Titanfall. Now if someone is perfectly satisfied with the current gen then I can see why they would wait to upgrade (until Titanfall). There aren't any compelling titles that are a must by right now.

Titanfall is on current gen though?

Yes "Titanfall" is on current gen the way that "BF4" will be on current gen. It will be totally different and worse experience on current gen.

There's only one title that interest me on that list...

Actually, no. I think all games look spectacular, from a gaming perspective. Yeah, even that fitness zumba dancing jumbo-mumbo thing.

How so? This is the first time I've heard that the 360 will get a cut down version of Titanfall.

BF3 and Bf4 are exceptions in that the MP allows for bigger maps and more players on PC and possibly next gen. I seriously havent seen any articles that suggest the same sort of thing happening for Titanfall. Will do a quick search though and see what i find.

Edit: Most articles are pointing out that the Xbone version has cloud support. I find this particularly funny for obvious reasons . I'm sure there will be a major graphical difference in the games but apart from that i dont see why they will be different experiences. Titanfall does not have massive maps or high player counts like Battlefield.

I'm a Killzone fan, so that trumps everything else for me by a substantial margin.

However, there is nothing more short-sighted than buying a console for the launch titles. Most people will buy either one knowing basically what to expect from their console manufacturer of choice and that normally goes way beyond launch lists.

Cough WiiU Cough.

Cough Vita Cough.

Going by the logic I see in here all of you should have one of these. If 2 or 3 games do it for you.

dead rising is really the only game of interest to me on that list. Come spring I have my eye out for infamous and titanfall though... but destiny is probably my most desired next gen game which will have exclusive playstation content... I'm very torn on which console I will get first...

Wow...this thread has made me realize the the Xbox One which is the predecessor for the 360, also commonly known as the "shooter box" doesn't have a single FPS exclusive game let alone a game where shooting is the main focus (like Gears).

That honestly kind of blows me away. At least there are plenty of FPS multiplat games that will come out for it on launch.

Well as of right now we don't know player count in the game but it does have much bigger maps than COD and runs @60fps. If they plan on hitting 60fps then it will be subHD on current gen. It is also being made by a totally different studio.

Launch lineups are always not that great for consoles but these are better then what have had. Going with Killer Instinct and Forza 5 at launch. Maybe Ryse but need to see more from that one.

Seems to be missing a good bit of Wii U exclusives.
Confirms my choice though. I wont be missing out on much by going PC/Wii U this gen but getting access to a ton of games and free online.

No offense, but the last chart is fairly biased since you're leaving out all the F2P, Indie, and PSN titles (Flower, Resogun, etc.) because they're not on XBone. At the end of the day, PS4 vs XBone launch titles is like 40+ vs 20+.
