Don´t expect it, maybe an upport of a handheld title down the line if Capcom is unhappy with the WiiU sales but no HD console will get a new MH game from the ground up (including WiiU, PS360, PS4, XBone)

Sadly, I have to agree with you on that point.

I would consider it more likely though if the PS4 is a runaway success and builds up a large install base, it may be the platform of choice for MH5 or MH6.

If they would pick a home console, but there are two problems with Capcom...

1. Money, they are cheap and thats why they will make it for the cheapest software so they wont spend as much money

2. MH is a handheld title, no matter how good a MH/Pokemon game might look and have much much better gameplay/visuals, its a handheld game, just look at sales (unless its outside japan where than home console>handheld). Maybe a port to ps4 but it'll never gave an original game cuz capcom wants $$$$$$$!

If one of the handheld entries made their way to the PS4 and was very successfull that may change the perception of Monster Hunter being primarily suited for handhelds.

the thing is it wont though, japan is soooo handheld oriented. Just look at all sales that sold over a million there, MH on Wii an install base that was very high in japan only sold 1.05mil. Only two games on ps3 sold over 1mil in japan. (Resident Evil 1mil and FF13 1.8mil)

Remember cost to make a game on PS4 is much higher than on vita let alone 3DS. I think 3DS and/or Vita is the only option, then a port but never a main line. They'll lose million and millions if they did

I wonder if Monster Hunter 4 will meet Capcom's expectations of 2.8m by March 31st 2014.

It's highly unlikely. Nintendo games steal the sales of third party games, people will trade back Monster Hunter 4 to buy Pokemon XY causing negative sales.

Still far behind MHP3rd.

Lawl... the only thing that matters is that the Vita doesn't have the game, 'ight?

Neither do you so...

I expect it to come to the west Q2 2014. Perhaps even a Wii U version if the sales in the west are good since the Wii U will likely get most of its sales in NA.
