Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) is pleased to announce that shipments of its "Monster Hunter 4" game for Nintendo 3DS™ in Japan have exceeded three million units, including sales of the downloadable version through download cards and the Nintendo eShop.

The "Monster Hunter" series is a hunting action game that pits players against giant monsters in a beautiful natural environment. The series has sparked a social craze known as the "Monster Hunter Phenomenon" by introducing a new kind of communication style for players through cooperative play focused on hunting monsters with their friends. The series, first released in 2004 as a home video game, has been a massive hit. Next year marks the tenth anniversary of the launch of the franchise. Growth in sales is continuing with the number of committed fans still rising and total sales of the series surpassing 26 million units to date (as of October 15, 2013).

I think this pretty much confirms that it will pass Freedom Unite 2 on PSP this year due to shortages, the Pokemon boost, and the holiday season. It's also pretty likely that it may go on to be the best selling MH ever.

Serious Question: Why when a game just comes out you compare it to a game thats been out for years or its at its peak? MH4 is obviously behind MHP3 but it'll surpass it lifetime. 

 

Pls dont say wen XY comes out with FW #s, Its not even close to Black/White Sales -_-

I knew it was a matter of time before u or Lawlight came in here and downplayed and an excellent selling game. Why do u feel its necessary to come into a positive thread and spread negativity?

If by chance this goes on to sell better than MHP3 in lifetime sales, will u give it credit or just pretend like it never happened?
