Forums - General Discussion - 46% of Americans believe in Creationism

Evolution (that is that you evolved from goo by the way of the zoo) is one of the biggest lies in the past 100 years or so.

Evolution is not even science by definition since no has observed one population of a creature evolve to another. They tried doing it with fruitflies but to no avail. Nor can evolution be repeated.

I suggest for people to take time to study the arguments and evidence against evolution.

You should be embarrassed to post such blither.

Life from non-life has nothing to do with evolution - that is abiogenesis.

Evolution takes the first lifeform(s) and explains how we see the diversity of life on the planet.

Here you go, lots of reading ahead of you so you gain some understanding: http://www.talkorigins.org/origins/faqs-evolution.html

In case you're too lazy to educate yourself, here is an observation of evolution:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escherichia_coli_long-term_evolution_experiment

Evolution makes predictions about the past, not simply the future. If you were to find a hominid fossil with a dinosaur it would go out the window. But you never see any contradictions.

46% too much...

Uhh, why do some people feel the need to put down what someone else believes in? Science is all over the place when it comes to trying to disprove God. You come up with one point and I can easily come up with a counter point.

Looks more like 82% to me. Creationism is not just about the Christian religion but a belief that a higher power had something to do with our creation.
Also Creationism is a scientific belief started by scientist.
Might want to actually get to know what you are talking about before belittling people.
Science cannot answer all the question. That is why its a growing belief among scientist that there is a creator, they just do not give credit to one religion over another

Also I'm glad to see the majority of Americans believe in God.

Actually the part about creatures changing over time has been proven as we have found missing links for somy and our genes show it is possible. They can de evolve a chicken now and show what previous traits it had long ago. The only part in question is evoling from single cell organisms to the varied life we have on Earth today.

As for dinosaurs, they once co existed with man. They didn't die out 65 million+ years ago. Did you know scientists have discovered dinosaur cadavers and even smelling the stench from it? If you think dino tissue can last 65+ million

years then I have a bridge to sell you.

Did you know there are numerous old cultures with art depictions
throughout of people interacting with dinos? There are aslo old writings of people interacting with dinos or giant lizards. They won't teach this to you in your science class because it contradicts the evolution story.

I've never read a bigger pile of bullshit in my entire life. You are seriously uneducated about this, bordering on total ignorance.

Creationism is not science. They tried to pass it off as science under the guise of "Intelligent Design" which the Supreme court deemed rebranded religion.

There no growing belief among scientists either. No idea which creationist website you pulled that from.

Name one positive piece of evidence for creationism...good luck.

This is hilarious for many reasons.

1) This discovery was important to show that the preservation of DNA (blood vessels and fibers) is possible in fossils.

2) They didn't change the age of the fossil...it's still 65 million years old, thus the blood vessels are that old. Not the other way around, slick.

Stop posting google group links FFS, shows the type of bullshit you read. How about cracking open a basic biology textbook instead?

There is cave art of aliens too, are you going to argue that?
