...In the "rest of the world". Which is of course most of the world, given North America, Europe and Japan only constitute about 15%  of all countries and 15% of the world's population.

Oh my fucking god man, I am a die hard Sony fan boy and even ill say you are full of shit. The PS3 wont beat the Wii, itll get close but it wont beat it and who the fuck cares about the rest of the world when NA and Europe are the only regions that have a large customer base.

That doesnt say much considering how many provisors you put into the analysis. Still its interesting tosee how well all the companies are doing in emerging markets who will comprise an increasing proportion of the gamer community - obviously playstation seems to have the edge.

Given that Sony will definitely be pushing the PS3 in the parts of the world that that the PS2 did so well, I wouldn't be surprised to see it eventually reach 18-20M in the rest of the world. I also think there is a definite possibility that it could go on to inch by the Wii.

Having said that, I don't think it was necessary for you to use title bait. "...In the rest of the world" should be in the title.

So, what I want to know is where do these "Rest of World" sales numbers really come from.  The Sony numbers look hugely inflated.
