Not sure if anybody is actually bothered. Apparently Alan Wake wasn't even 720p and it looked phenomenal.

These next gen consoles clearly have way more bandwidth and pixel output at their disposal compared to the PS360U so there is no excuse for why they can't have 1080p and that especially goes for the PS4. |
On PS4, only one game is confirmed sub 1080, it is Battlefield 4 (the order is a special case). All first party games are confirmed 1080p (or 1080p IQ for the order) and all multiplat (so far) are rumored (by developers tweets etc) 1080p.
Even on XOnes some games are confirmed 1080p (Forza and COD) and I don't doubt that others will follow as probably a lot of indie games will be 1080p.
So I think your "Neither" is a lot preposterous.
ethomaz said: Seems like nothing new this time... BTW this Reedit Xbone dev was wrong about everything it said until now lol... and the interesting is that he can't even deny what CBOAT said. |
lol
Whether people believe a rumor or not seems to depend on which company they are backing (ex. 2 GPU's!!!). To say Cboat is always wrong is untrue. To say he is wrong 50% of the time is still untrue. He has been known to be right more often then wrong.
This rumor... isn't really a rumor. More of something we kind of already knew.If you wanted to believe Ryse wasn't 1080P by choice, then you did. Others believed it was due to hardware of the Xbox One.
There isn't really anything new or shocking about the Xbox One. We knew before the reveal Microsoft created a media box, living room machine, whatever you want to call it. It isn't a hardcore gaming machine like the other consoles. We knew this when we were still calling it next box, xbox 720, xbox infinity. If you didn't know you were either waiting for confirmation, didn't care to know, or didn't want to believe it.
We knew 12 months ago that the Kinect, TV, and entertainment side of Xbox One was as important to Microsoft as gaming was. It wasn't going to take a back seat to gaming or going to be a secondary feature.
If Microsoft sells the Xbox One to 50 million people, and Sony sells the PS4 to 50 million people, most of those 100 million won't give a damn if the game is 900P. So it's really a non issue honestly
So if you want to believe this current Cboat statement is wrong... go ahead. But it is already kind of true. Whether it goes beyond Xbox One launch titles remains to be seen

I just read that he had a retail Xbone before MS even start the production lol

Somebody is awfully upset? The truth about the X1 is emerging. Can't wait to see the games running below the levels that were shown at E3 on mega powerful PC's.

Yes, like deep down from the feb event, right? ...
But let's see how it will turn out and of course there were games that were running on actual hardware at e3 but who cares for facts if you have an opinion. Just a few weeks and we will see.

Most people remember him being right. He doesn't have to be 100% correct to be belivable of course.

He's talking about the X1, so i'm pretty sure he's talking about Ryse.

Than he is not believable. I know many want to believe him, I remember the last thread on GAF and how many replies there were happy about what he said... Some really want MS to fail. But whatever, we will see.
