So basically I've realised there is no way I can play all the JRPGs I want from this gen, my backlog is just too big and its getting out of control and a large portion of the games are JRPGs that are gonna take a long time to beat.  So basically I wanted to list off the games I'm on the fence about and you guys could tell me which ones I have to play.  Btw I'm getting all the games probably soon because the gen is coming to an end and games are cheaper than they ever wil be.

Last story for sure.

Pretty much everything else on that list was a disapointment...

The differences between Star Ocean PS3 and 360 are very little. SquareEnix got over on that one

Star Ocean 4 PS3 allows you to switch player portraits and it offers the japanese voice acting. The american voice acting was garbage and a lot of people preferred to the japanese voice acting.

Eternal Sonata ps3 offered new exclusive playable characters, new dungeons, new costumes, new events that add more depth to the story(the ps3 version makes more sense because of this when it comes to the story, and the ps3 version is a bit more of a challenge this time around.

The Last Story is a must buy. Best JRPG on the Wii.

Resonance of Fate is a must buy as well. Story was bad on the final chapters (in the kind of "you won't understand shit and game won't explain you anything" bad), but gameplay is ace, and they have some secondary chapters with side stories that are pretty well done.

Rune Factory Frontier is a time-consuming game. It is not a JRPG in the strict sense of the world. Imagine an Animal Crossing mixed with Secret of Mana. For me, it is awesome, but if you have a huge backlog, this is not a game for you.

I've heard Blue Dragon isn't that great. You've probably played Lost Odyssey already, so leave it at that.

Eternal Sonata is my favorite RPG this gen and the poster above me is spot on, with the PS3/360 differences.

White Knight Chronicles 2 is better than the first. I played it just for the story and it was worth it.

Ugh absolutely don't waste your time with Star Ocean IV.

I guess you could try The Last Story. But after FFXIII-2 and Eternal Sonata.

hmm... From thoose , i have only played ff 13-2 ,but i wouldnt recomend it..The only thing i loved was the combat.
I ve heard that resonance of fate has really good combat,but lacks a good story line . Also have you tried the tales series?I finished tales of graces f 2 months ago,and i though it was .. ok ,but nothing special. Im getting xillia tommorow,hopefully its better. Also played ni no kuni,but imo it was not that good mainly cause of the child themes.. Dark souls isnt a jrpg,but well.. its made by a japanese company.. have you tried it ?

I've heard good things about The Last Story, so maybe check it out. The rest aren't really worth the time to be honest. Especially, White Knight Chronicles 2. That game was trash even before they shut down the online portion, which was a big part of the game.
