I seriously doubt it. The hype level for the Xbone/Ps4 is 100x that of the Wii U before it launched. Plus besides exclusives the third party audience is usually home for Xbox and Playstation.

XBox one will suffer for sure cause of its price... Ps4 not that much since it is cheaper and both of them have the same almost games... However, no one can be sure for the market...

Sure. The economic conditions almost ensure that. No console maker will do as well as their predecessors. Decline is all I see. In addition to games costing more to develop. It will get ugly.

People talk absolute rubbish, there was plenty of hype before WiiU' launch amongst Nintendo fans, but see what you want to see.

just the usual slow down from feb 1 to june 1 and again from sept through the end of october. It is standard seasonal stuff.

I seriously doubt it, just because Sony and M$ know what they're doing. Nintendo came into this, completely revamping their message from the Wii, trying to appeal to a demographic that they clearly don't have. Instead of doing what they do best (make Nintendo games), they tried to mimick Sony and M$'s third party strategy, on a console that is barely stronger than 7 year old hardware and significantly weaker than next gen hardware. No games turned into no sales for them, and their strongest IPs are a ways off. Sony and M$ actually have a plan for longevity. This past year, Nintendo did not.

Maybe a little drought because not everyone will switch over to PS4/X1 in the first year. However, it won't be anything as bad as the Wii U. The next gen systems will have 3rd party support and proper advertising to keep sales up.

i don't think (read hope) it will be as bad as the wiiU but i know it will be much lower and some people's expectations. there is hype,.. but not hysteria. there will be a lull but how low will it go?

this is exactly why i am waiting until spring to get my ps4. i want to see how damaged the gaming industry really is. my hopes is ps4/xbone and at least stay near 60-80k weekly sales instead of wiiU's 20-30k.

Neither will MS has Titanfall,Kinect sports and it will still launch in many countries troughout the year the ps4 has a possible Destiny bundle,Infamous and a price advantage

nope, neither the X1 or PS4 will have more than a few sub 80k weeks once they are out worldwide
