Shane actually saved the show in season 2 from becoming a total boredom that barn shoot out was the highlight of the season for me anyways.

OP:Anyways after season 3 massive disappointing final and a spin off getting announced my hype is gone. I know AMC will milk the hell out of this series.

I'll probably give it another shot now that Andrea is gone.

Been tuned-in to the marathon all weekend already.

I read the comics and I think the comics did virtually everything better than the show EXCEPT for Shane's death.  Shane was so great in the show that I kinda wish he would have stuck around a little longer.  Hope they're faithful with Tyrese, at least.  Had no idea he was such a major character and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with him.

Any thoughts on the first episode? I thought it was a little slow at first, but the second half was AMAZING!

I guess they had to set the tone for the season and show what was going on with our survivors in the last month or so.  I liked the slow parts but I really liked when things finally started happening.  Lots of things to speculate about.  Should be a good season.

I thought that woman was going to be a cannibal.  Didn't expect that about her husband.  Nice twist.

I agree with your thoughts. Very good way to show what has happened and where everyone's at.

Not a lot of people I talked to liked Rick's run-in story, which made me sad because I found it powerful and a good way to reflect on Rick's worldview and question it.
