I have a pro Controller and to be honest I haven't tried it for Wind Waker HD but really why would you want to play with the Pro controller over the Gamepad, having the map and inventory control on the Gamepad add to the experience. I would even claim that Wind Waker HD as the best used of the Gamepad of all WiiU games currently available.

Did you come here to start another flame war? You posted your opinion, he's posting his. Your word against his far as I'm concerned. You say it's worthless, he says it's amazing. Who decides? dun dun dun |
I myself didn't say it was worthless however I said that the mass market doesn't value it.
In Wind Waker HD - There a part in the game when you're suppose to sort mail in 6 different box, and in order to break the record you need to sort 25 mail. I kept failing the task because I was only getting 23-24 mail before time ran out. After failing for the 5th time, I decided that maybe if I switch to the gamepad it might be easier. All you do on the gamepad is press -, the game switch to gamepad. To my surprise I was able to increase my reaction time by playing the mini game on gamepad rather then my 55" TV. After switching the game to the gamepad I manage 29 mail sorted on first try.
On a side note, I was playing Zelda Twillight Princess with my nephew last weekend. Man after having experience playing Zelda on the gamepad, I was really struggling with the wii - nunchuk control and having to fundle in the menu to switch gear or maps was a pain. PLaying on the gamepad really does streamline the game, rather then take you away from the experience like it did for some other games.

If they didn't buy it, how could they value it? It seems more to me like they've never tried it. Also, your initial post said "there you have it', which seemed to be based off the responses in this thread. Are they supposed to represent the mass market?
Mass market doesnt know about it yet^
Those who do didnt immediately see the value in it/purchase it ( the more creative folks already had ideas running in their heads from 2011 E3)
Like when the DS released.

The mass market doesn't value it, period. BTW those posts just so happen to agree with the mass market. ;)

Do you know if they tried it? Or are you assuming they played it and didn't like it because it didn't make a big difference in gameplay?
@underlined. Correlation =/= causation. Realize we're on a gaming forum, which seldom represents the trends of the mass market. Also, you mentioned your conclusion after the 3rd post in the thread. Not a vast pool of test subjects to be blunt.

I've had a fair share of the mass market at home trying out my Wii U.I have yet to hear a bad oppinion about it. Three of my friends have gotten one after they tried it out with me. None knew about it beforehand.
The mass market doesn't have an oppinion, since they don't know it excists.
