Forums - Nintendo Discussion - PETA targets Pokemon

These idiots, when will people learn that telling people not to do something only makes people want to do it more. Good job PETA, you just increased Pokesales!

I like animals too, which is why PETA must go. The world would be a better place.

They tried it with Black and White...

Now X and Y?

Dat attention grabbing......

funny thing was, wasn't black/whites story revolving around basically the issue of treating pokemon good

yup it had their own version peta but at the end of the game you found their actual goal was to take over the world

Like peta would play that far into the game.

If they even played 10 minutes of black or white they would have seen the guy yelling about pokemon needing to be treated well.

They actually did know that. When you go to the site where their previous Pokemon parody game was, you can see Pikachu holding up a sign saying "Isupport Team Plasma", which is the team that wanted to free the Pokemon.

I kinda want Nintendo to address these claims......I mean they are so family friendly, yet clearly made a very successful IP about enslaved animals fighting each other until one loses consciousness.

The philosophy that the trainer and pokemon love each other is pure BS because a trainer wouldn't put a pokemon in danger for glory and profit.

They made statements on both the Mario 3D Land and Black and White slander.

The statement dealt mostly with mario, which I totally agree with. PETA can never make a case on Mario.

But Pokemon is pretty much a child friendly animal fighting simulator. No getting around that. To me, it taps in to our primal urges for violence and competition, but making it approachable and easy on the eyes.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

PETARDS.

34 years playing games.

good point with the 2 versions.

imagine you'll have to buy forza x & y seperately.
150cars and 10 tracks in x-version 150cars and 10 tracks in y version.Both versions for full price+5 dollars.

What a weird way to confuse your message, PETA. Yes, the meat industry in general is unsanitary, unsafe, and inhumane. So why not stick to the facts and leave Pokemon out of it? It's embarrassing.

PETA is stupid animals are delicious
