The pixel density on 3DS XL is aweful at like 95ppi, if I remember 3ds is at 132ppi. Both are low compared to any other handheld device though.

it feels more comfortable, has better battery life, but has a lower viewing angle for 3d. The first and the last points in last sentences vary however.

Get the superior XL.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

The biggest difference between the 3DS and the XL for me is ergonomics. The XL is much more comfortable in my hands. An hour of MK7 on a normal 3DS and my hands are cramping too hard. Neither one is really pocketable. The XL has more battery life.

The 3D effect seems to work a little better on the 3DS than the XL, that's the only reason I can think of to pick the smaller device.

i personally prefer the original one
its just way cooler and the image is crisp and the 3D is deeper too

Well, I got it. Started out with some Star Fox 64 (came with it). I'm very impressed. The screen size isn't too small at all (for a handheld system, that is). That being the case, I did list everything (minus the games on Amazon, and will be upgrading as soon as it sells.

I will say, with Star Fox 64 being one of my favorite games ever, I'm not SUPER impressed with the controls (specifically moving the ship). I found it very easy on the N64 version, and much more difficult on the 3DS one (but I'm hoping this comes with time).

The 3DS XL is for men. So choose that. :P

XL
-more comftorible
-better battery life
-comes with more memory I beleive
-bigger screen, much bigger.
-stylus in better spot
-satin finish inside, less glare

i highly recommend the XL, in the long run these advantages are things you wish you had with a normal 3ds. the normal 3ds is more portable though, and has more colors to choose from. The audio on the xl is pretty good too, it is louder then my vita

WII U // PC // 3ds XL // VITA

Just buy a Vita, it has the biggest screen.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I personally think the vita is superior...the problem is, Nintendo has the games I want (pokemon, mario, etc)
