Are You Excited About Battlefield or CoD?

The first shooting games that come to mind are CoD and Battlefield. What are these two games doing different from other multiplayer games? You have a set time limit where you have to do a certin thing, like capturing the most flags, or killing the enemy team the most. Battlefield has better graphics, increased player count (consoles) with changing maps. CoD has added a lot of new game modes, but the experience really isn't much different.

Games like Destiny, The Division, and Titanfall all come to mind when I think about something refreshing. Destiny and The Division being MMO like games goes away from these other huge franchises. Putting a lot of players in a huge persistent world while having a single player experience. And with Titanfall, the only one being more like these huge franchises does something different by being a multiplayer game having single player elements.

To me, these three games just excite me more than Battlefield and CoD do.

Are any of you excited about CoD of Battlefield?

Nope. I was excited for Modern Warfare 3 some years ago. But after that game... I realized they really suck! I am not excited for this game and they certainly are not my cup of tea. I will never follow my friends advice to ever buy a call of duty game again xD.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

No which is why I am not buying either... but with that being said... I am not excited for many other online multiplayer fps games either such as Killzone SF or the Next Halo and etc, since they all feel the same just with different shades of brown and black with lens flaring and motion blur

Dedicated Servers don't solve same boring multiplayer with minor tweaks people

I haven't enjoyed a cod since the first modern warfare. I refuse to support a game that half asses the campaign to focus on multiplayer. Yes, the multiplayer in cod4 is great; but the reason why that's one of my favorite games of all time is the campaign completes the package.

Not excited for ghosts, although the bf4 beta on ps3 was interesting with the "levelition" aspect. Might get ps4 version.
Interested in Killzone if the story is good (please be good)

Halo will be halo. Titanfall looks amazing.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

I'm just getting tired of repetitive gameplay. BF4 looks good, Destiny and Titan Fall look epic, Ghosts looks meh, and Killzone looks a bit different when it comes to pace (For better or worse).
So most games this year and the next are doing something new. Even Ghosts has some interesting aspects, especially the snipers.

I <3 Classic Platformers!

In way, yes, but luckily for me, I grew up an only child, and while I love some good multiplayer, preferably with friends in the same room, I have and always will prefer single player gaming experiences.

I'm just getting tired of the focus on multiplayer, particularly online multiplayer.

Like DevilRising, I much prefer deep, rewarding single-player experiences.

Kinda, but i've always been more for the single player
