My girlfriend loves the Just Dance games, but did not like Dance central at all. She said it felt more accurate holding a wiimote which came a surprise to me. Maybe I'll pick up the new one for Wii U if it goes on sales during Black Friday.

I'll most likely be getting it at some point. My daughter is obsessed with dancing games.

Just Dance 4
Just Dance: Disney Mix
&
Smurfs Dance Party

Dance Central 3 gets rather challening.  It doesn't let you get away with 'faking.'  One of my friends had a hard time - when it pointed out he wasn't quite right.  I don't know if that applies, just pointing that out.

Also, I think the Just Dance music is more fun.  There are some good and great songs in Dance Centeral.  But there are some, that, well, I don't know how they ended up there.

But to each their own.  Glad she found one she likes.  Dance games are fun.

I was speaking of an actua Wii U console + Just Dance game.

They did it last year or two years ago a bundle like that for Wii.

Good post. I'd say that those games rely on older tunes, and rock isn't as popular and trendy as dance/club music is nowadays. Dance music has new hits every year.

Also, Guitar Hero and Rock Band require peripherals which most people were unhappy having to lug around or store. With Just Dance, it's just the Wiimote. Really it could more easily be compared to Fifa than Guitar Hero, even though it is a music game.
