Like i said, supporting the systems better at there end of lifes is better than just outright killing it.

No one disagreed or said otherwise. Both Nintendo and MS supported their consoles until the end this gen.

I'd argue about nintendo's support and microsoft's support was petty questionable it's self too.

Can't speak too much about the Wii as my kids play it way more than I ever did but I have had no shortage of games on 360 this year that were brought to my console by MS.

Also the last major first party game for the PS2 was God of War 2 which came out seven years after the PS2 launch but that game would have been moved to the PS3 if the PS3 would have had a stronger launch.

This is like the 3rd thread I've seen about this. MS already stated they will support the 360 till at least 2016 with 100+ games in the pipeline. 1st party or not, as long as there is something to play and the quality is still there, I don't have an issue. I would rather see MS put all their 1st party effort into the x1 regardless, that goes for Sony and Nintendo as well.

You don't even own a 360 so you can't even fully judge MS support of the 360 since you have no idea what is available online for the 360.

I cannot understand what is so strange with MS putting most of their focus on X1. We have had 360 for 8 years! It will get continued support (including exclusives like Titanfall) just to a lesser extent. The game library I have (physical but also XBLA) is in my view the best of all consoles ever, but it is time to move on now and get new experiences.

Muti-console owners such as myself are (at least) slightly bitter because we consider the software output of the 360 in the last few years. If you look at the plethora of 1st party games released by MS in the first 2 years of the 360's life, and then compare that with the 1st party games since (say) end 2009, then there really is no competition with the PS3. And that's their direct competitor.

Moving forward, I'd rather have PS3-esque releases on my next gen console than what was offered on the 360 in it's twilight. Is that so hard to understand?

I'm pretty sure that none of the people that started these threads actually own a 360 so they are only aware of physical games and have no clue about the constant stream of new downloadable games that are available on the 360's marketplace.

Doesn`t matter whether I own the console or not. If microsoft were truly committed to supporting the 360 then they wouldn`t have gotten outsold by the PS3 in the first place. Their stream of software simply didn`t keep them ahead of the game and that in turn is how they faultered while also having a much bigger advantage in the start but decided to leverage it.

You are aware that the 360 still has a 82.38 million lead when it comes to physical software sold and when it comes to digital content the gap is even bigger since the 360 has sold more digital content then all other home and handheld consoles combined.
