it's so frusterating because I know I could beat the damn song on expert if I could just get past the intro. I know this because I have completed the song on multiplayer pro face off with 75%. I guess I just need to practice the hell out of that intro on the slowest speed until I get the fingering down.
Same here, only I had my bro Play the Intro, pause, then played through the rest. I may have barely passed, and the rock meter may have still been on red, but I still did.

I've encountered a lot of speed metal, but not very much that is as musically interesting as Dragonforce.

i beat it twice. once was 73%, second time 78%

Yeah this song is definitely a cut above anything else in its genre imo.  Thats part of the appeal to being able to beat it on expert...its such a great song and it gives that badass "Guitar Hero" feeling when you make a good run on it.

I kinda figured there was a bunch of people stuck on this one but its still nice to know I'm not the only one =P

@wareagle372,

How did you do on the opening when you beat it?  Ace it or just sort of treading water?

To Each Man, Responsibility

i havent beat this song, but i can play the intro with 2 hands on the color botons and i paly the fist note with the elbow, is easy when once you practice it. On the hammer on part i have made 95% with 25 000 points and in the whole intro like 67 000 points. Sorry for my english.

I just played it in practice mode with 76%, not too bad. I think even if I could get past the intro right now, I would still fail in the solo section.

yes! i can get past the intro now. 98% in practice. missed quite a few of the final glides transitioning into the next section.

just need to get through the rest of the piece!

my way of doing it: left hand for all of the notes except for the orange note, which after the initial strum you have plenty of time to get over with your right hand without the need for elbow of struming or anything.

of course, even missing one note is disastrous. but it's actually not too bad once you get the hang of it.

i was proud of my 90% on medium :(

Actually, those would be called "sweeps".  The involve a more efficient picking technique known as sweep picking.

good to learn something about guitar terminology! watched a couple of youtube clip about sweep picking.

now i get a better appreciation of how guitar hero tries to map some of those actual techniques on the guitar.

i've been playing guitar hero alway pressing the fret buttons before i strum... obviously, they have to be somewhat before you actually strum, but i think i'm putting in too much margin of safety after watching those sweep picking clips, since the two happen like 0.1 seconds apart, if not less.

i came away rather impressed by those clips.
