Forums - Sony Discussion - Official Ratchet & Clank: Nexus thread. New reviews in second post! Launch Trailer!

The only thing that disappoint me on this game is Ratchet's looks, he looks the same as in All 4 One and FFA, and in my opinion he looks far better in A Crack in Time and Quest for Booty.

You have an example in my signature picture.

That's weird. What's with Europe always getting different, often not as funny, names?

Germany, I'd imagine.

Dr. Nefarious has been defeated.

Now to take a break from the series until I finish 'Beyond: Two Souls'. Then it's onto Gladitor, Size Matters, Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, A Crack in Time, All 4 One, Q Force and finally, Nexus.

Chronologically, where does Secret Agent Clank stand in the series?

Chronologically, nowhere really, but having a knowledge of "Up your Arsenal" will increase your enjoyment of the title.

Regarding the other games - leave Gladiator; Size Matters; All 4 One & Q-Force until the end, imo.  Play the Future series (Tools; Q4B; ACiT & Nexus) in order and then worry about the spin-offs.  They're very hit and miss.

I have played the future series, though, my first Ratchet game was Tools of Destruction. I'll fit Secret Agent Clank in somewhere.

Nexus' announcement spurred me on to play the Ratchet games I'd missed, especially the original three. However, playing through the original trilogy has gotten me completely hooked on the franchise again. Thus, I've decided to not just play the games I'd missed, but to play through the entire franchise again.

I will probably play through the spin-offs before Nexus. Nexus will be the farewell game for Ratchet & Clanks PS3 days. So, I'll leave it until last.

Couple of new videos.  Careful, the second one is a bit more spoiler-ish than the first:

Surprised by how beautiful this looks, especially for pre-alpha.  I know Insomniac will never be up there with Naughty Dog; SSM etc. for visuals but I think they did some really good work with the Ratchet series.  Their animators in particular did an amazing job.  Which makes it even more of a shame that they went for such a bland aesthetic with Resistance & later Fuse.

Looking forward to this. Ben a ran since up Ur arsenal.

So keen for this, I was going to pre order it today but I dont think they will sell out of copies so I'll buy it on the day.

Very excited for this one. I'm glad Insomniac is still keeping Ratchet going.

Exactly. I'm also very glad that this game is a traditional one again.

What's annoying me though, is the high price of the HD collection that's not come down yet after all this time. I want it included in a PS+ sale or something :D
