I didn't know what to think about the game, but the demo absolutely blew me away! I'm not kidding. Play that game alone in a dark room and get some decent heaadphones (I'm using Sony MDR-1RNC). It's pure awesomeness. The camera settings are absolutely perfect, it's really intense. And just when you think it can't possibly get any better, the epic soundtrack kicks in.
Yeah, sure, gameplay is somewhat limited, but what the hell? You're on a rail in most games today anway. It's not that different from Call of Duty, you're just not shooting things all the time. But I really had fun doing all kinds of nonsense with Aiden until I realized I actually had to do something. So in the end, you can go wrong and your actions do influence the story. I mean, what do you expect? You have to make compromises if you focus at the story as a game designer. But if you just don't like good stories, then this game just isn't for you. But is there really no room for games with a different approach? Do all games need to be the same to be even considered a game?
Screw that and also, have you see dem graphics? Naughty Dog no longer holds the graphics crown, Beyond looks better than most Next-Gen titles I have seen. And I have seen them live at gamescom, not at youtube in shitty compressed quality.
I will definitely get that sucker, I just don't know when. Maybe at launch if I happen to find a decent deal. 50 € would be fine, 60 € would be too much I think. No way I'm buying at 70 €. No game should be that expensive.
Yeah, I'm a little hyped since I played the demo. You can hate me if you like, I don't care. :P
