Sideshow Bob makes the most sense. Fat Tony died a few seasons ago but was replaced by his cousin Fit Tony who let himself go and became fat.

You really have to look at the voice cast list. The guy who does Homer and Mr. Burns do a lot of voice work. Doubt it'd be either of them. But it comes down to two possibilities: kill off one of their characters to pay them less, or get rid of someone who does one voice. My money's on Sideshow Bob. He's been in the show enough to be established, but expendable enough to not want to call Kelsey Grammer in. But if someone wants to compile a list of unique voice actors.

From your link in the OP, the guy who voices it is Harry Shearer and he doesn't have an Emmy. So none of the following can die: Mr. Burns, Waylon Smithers, Reverend Lovejoy, Kent Brockman, Lenny, Principal Skinner, Otto Mann, Rainier Wolfcastle and Ned Flanders...
