Neither, but I can see wii u failing in europe or japan & Vita in NA (except that Sony gets GTA exclusive, god of war, GT or another system seller). PSV is safe in Japan and wii u in NA, I think.

This week Wii U sold well in USA, about 26k compared to 8k last week (and this are info from 1 week before WW release) and I hope it can sell at least 60m lifetime beacuse I really love this console.

Vita is closer to doom but I still hope it won't die. I've got really high hopes for it, although I own 3DS and I don't own a Vita.

Concerning sales, Vita tops at 6 million in 2 years, wii U at 3,6. in 1 year. By this approximation, we can say that Nintendo started better. it's difficult to say before next gen consoles sell for a litlle month. You will be able to have a decent prediction by March 2014, not before. But I would nsay that for me, Wii U started better, and good games are coming for it, less for PSVita. I think this one is doomed crowd.

Vita doom camp. I don't want it to fail, but I just can't deny the truth anymore. It's selling horribly during the over 1,5 year on the market, it fails to spike, even when a supposedly must have system seller is launching (and there weren't many)except for Japan where gamers respond when a game launches, it lacks big Western games, I think only people who like japanese niche stuff buy the system in NA and EU.
Price cut if we believe vgc numbers helped to push the baseline by around 4k in NA and EU. Vita barely sells retail software, which means it will only lose more and more shelf space, what in the end means failing mass market mindshare.
Japan will inflate the lifetime numbers of the Vita, cause it should sell relatively well there, in the West it's doomed. I just hope it can outsell the Dreamcast. Ok I may have been a bit too harsh there, I think Vita will sell around 20million LTD.

As for Wii U, I don't give a damn what happens with it, they could discontinue it tomorrow for all I care.

Handhelds are boring and the Wii U is just plain not interesting.
