I know that it was well over a decade ago, but does anyone remember what the PS2's first week sales were? Is my prediction that that PS4 will sell 6.5 million in its first week too high or too low?

I had no idea that I was shooting for the moon here. All I keep hearing about is how it's going to break a sales record in pretty much every country in the world (that sells game consoles).

The PS2 had severe stock limitations so it was really really low even with all of its demand.

PS4 also has stock limitations so I wouldn't expect more than 2 million, but I really don't know these things.

Way too high plus like the person before me said Sony only plans to produce 5 million consoles until March 2014. Even if there where a lot more available demand is still not that high and won't be until they announce some more good games.

Yeah waaay too high. The PS4 will sell 1 - 1.5 mil tops. Which is still record breaking for Sony.

about 10.5M shipped 5 months after WW launch which includes about a yr of Japan sales in that aswell

i wouldnt expect much more than 800k first week since its release date isnt the same WW, if your where to include all the major regions for a total WW release than 2-3M is a realistic expectation
