The game will sell worst than any mario 3D game ( 64,sunshine, galaxy, 3D land ( if we can call the last a real 3D mario... ))

I bet my life on this and i give you all 10$ if i'm wrong.

How the hell is that a contradiction? Galaxy has good visuals, and SM3DW has lazy visuals. I'm missing the "contradiction."

 

I do care that it's a 3D Land rehash. Sure it will be fun, but I expect much better than this from the first 3D Mario game on Nintendo's first HD system.

visually, 3d world is leaps and bounds above galaxy, so caling galaxy great and 3d world lazy is a contradiction. call it a rehash to your heart's content, it won't change reality. mario is all about level design and 3d world is following the series footsteps with lot's of creativity.

Galaxy in HD on Dolphin looks better than 3D world. You clearly don't understand the meaning of the word contradiction. 3D world has lazy ass visuals. Bland aptly describes it. Not everyone has to agree with your opinion, so stop attacking mine.


why don't you try Super Mario 3D World on Dolphin to see how does it look?

I actually think this game is shaping up so nicely, that it could really help to drive system sales. I have no idea what the doom and gloomers are talking about.

It looks like some people cant, considering the response after I posted the comparison pics (ofcource, I did use dolphin pics for Galaxy). From a technical point of view, you can perhaps say that SM3DW has higher resolution textures, more advanced shaders, more advanced lighting and shadows, and a higher number of vectors composing its environments and characters. Atleast you can agree to that?

Judging from the similar thread on GAf, i'd say the doomers and gloomers are just a vocal tiny minority. No need to worry, it'll do good:)

The game looks great, in a visual sense as well as gameplay wise. I do fear that the slow sales of the WiiU have contributed to a much lower level of hype though, as opposed to when Super Mario Galaxy released on the Wii.

Also the name...ugh. Super Mario 3D World is such a bland, non-descriptive title. Who comes up with these things? IMO, Nintendo really needs to abandon the use of words such as "super" and "world" for their Mario titles, especially when they are just carelessly tossed in as though created by a random word generator.
