He's Luigi rival, much as Wario is Mario's rival.


Problem is, Waluigi doesn't have his game. Outside Mario Sports games and Mario Party, he's absent from the Mushroom Kingdom universe.

Thinking about it, a Waluigi specific game would be a GREAT follow up to the Year of Luigi.  I feel like Waluigi has good potential as a character and for a new IP.

I dunno, to me he looks a lot like the ... the... What character was that again? Ah, this one:

Koji Kondo is making the music of the game! He did the Super Mario Galaxy one!


No, Koji Kondo didn't make Galaxy, Mahito Yokota made it, he is the mastermind behind Galaxy 1 & 2 and Skyward sword. Of course Kondo helped but he didn't write a lot, he was a Supervisor. It was mostly Yokota. I say this cause this man doesn't get any credit. It's like with Tezuka, deeply envolved with almost every Miyamoto Game but gets always ignored.

It was a joke. To me, Waluigi looks a lot like that character (dressed as a pirate in the video).

I figured you were joking, but I just didn't get how him looking like another character had anything to do with what I said. lol.  Or at least I didn't see it.

^^ What I meant was that I cannot see Waluigi and not remember that guy, what prevents me from seeing the first as a good character. But that is perhaps because I have never played a game featuring him besides the sports ones.

Except for the one part where you are expected to blow into the mic, this preview makes the game sound like pure bliss - particularly impressive when the reviewer admits that he wasn't overly impressed previously at E3.

Just watching the new trailer for the first time made me feel like a kid again; I can't imagine how great it'll feel to actually get my hands on the game.
