Forums - Sony Discussion - Despite weekly high selling games, the vita is still not jump starting?

Yeah, the reasons have been listed. Not sure how big the new Vita model will be with Pokemon launching in the same week, though. But it should still boost weekly sales above 10k anyway.

Still, I get what people are saying with regards to the price cut, but with all the new games which have been released as of late, and with it being cheaper than before, having weekly sales so low is a worrying sign.

Which is a shame. The Vita is a real great bit of kit with a handful of good games, and I for one love my Vita. But a lot of decisions with regards to releases as of late. If possible, they should have launched these titles and hardware revisions in either the summer or the winter. Launching them around Monster Hunter and Pokemon on your competitor was never going to set the system alight.

Though, maybe it's too early to say. I hope it does well over the next couple months, but I fear the weight of 3DS releases will crush it.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Not everybody is waiting on Vita new model, only japan currently! Vita TV might also be the cause? Lastly WiiU didn't have special edition LoZ WW or regular retail copy yet so pls dont count tht. WiiU in US got a great boost (not as good as we all want but better than 5k a week right?)

Sorry for not mentioning, I read only the first line of the OP and thought this was about Japan... So I'm talking about this week in specific in Japan

Ya vita TV for $100.00 is a nice deal and should help game sales a lot.

Yes it did not move units which i thought it be at least 10k, the software was right where i thought itt be. US is where it counts, its only a remake but yeah, i think Digital sales are good in US and retail should be over 80k FW!

Got to be a tbone51 or spurgeryan thread ... ah, yes.

Anyway, why would Vita TV help if it's not out yet?

lol, why me? What did i do? I know its obviously The new vita model. I only ask last month a question on how vita sales will be after price cut then i made another thread asking What does Sony have to do to boost vita sales. Whats wrong with that, pls enlighten me

Did I say anything was wrong with it?

Here, take this:

LOL! 10/10

Also, bad OP is bad. It's obvious that people are waiting to buy the Vita slim thus Vita HW is not increasing despite new SW. Still trashing Wii U (with Zelda) and 360. haha

Are you sure people will b buying the vita slim model? (i mean alot)

I'm confused the ps4 can be played on the vita then why can't vita be played on the ps4/big screen? The streaming features should surely be able to do this right? I only ask because people keep bringing up the vita tv thingy which I think is rather dumb given vita = ps3 and aren't they trying to separate it from a console. Aka console gaming on the go? I don't know the whole concept doesn't sit right with me. Just seems like a way for Sony to try and inflate sale figures to attempt and draw in devs. Honestly as a dev why bother with this via tv nonsense when u can simply make a ps3/4 game and stream it to the vita? I don't see this being the savior of the system. A bump in weekly sales? Yeah but by how much probably not as much as most would like to see.
