I'm confused... you can't use the gamepad controls for anything? I mean, not even in games that use the classic controller?

Not that I now of.

Should be fixable though.  I mean you can play any computer game ever made wiith whatever controller you want with software of some kind.

Seems liek they should be able to make a firmware update that allows wii games to be played with gamepad.

The idea by itself isn't stupid or pointless, though.  Anyone who says that doesn't know what they're talking about.  It may be pointless to some people, but to some people who want to play their Wii games while the TV is occupied, that can be done now.

Yeah, you're right. I guess I was going more off of my gut reaction when I posted earlier. After actually trying it with N64 Smash and Paper Mario, it's actually not too bad. And the fact that they finally fixed VC games to display in 4:3 instead of stretching them to 16:9 isn't getting enough credit. It makes my N64 games a lot easier to play now.

That said, it will still be way, way, way more useful if they implemented a fix that mapped Classic Controller Pro buttons to the Wii U Gamepad buttons for Wii retail and WiiWare games (I can understand not doing so for VC games, otherwise why would people pay to upgrade?).

The news of this feature, while pointless, cause I doubt I'll use it, since as stated you can't use gamepad, it does exite me for the future of Fifa 14 Coins.




Is there a stand yet? seems like someone should have some velcro car thing for the gamepad where you can hang your gamepad on the seat in front of you about Final Fantasy 14 Gil.
