By the way, what's this "big effect" you're going on and on about? The poll asks when/if you're lining up for the new consoles. My reply was when Titanfall comes out. You're carrying on as if i said at 12:01am on release day a massive swarm of energy created by millions and millions of people running to Gamestop or Walmart to buy Titanfall is going to throw Earth of its axis and bring about the apocalypse.

And Titanfall most certainly is the "messiah" of "next gen" gaming so far.

Thee is nothing about an pnline only shooter that will make anyone with a ps4 want an x1, PS4 gamers have sony's first party and naughty dog to look forward to. It's also on PC and will be opn PS4 eventually. It won't do much for a new console when the competitions has so many alternatives like destiny,  sony first part.

Looks like the Sony Fans have realllllllyyy turned out for their console.  And people wonder why the Xbox fans complain all the time.  It's over 6 to 1 at this point.  Hopefully the XB1 fans are living on the West Coast or just haven't logged in yet today.   Interesting to see the metrics behind the Reuters polling info, like who was asked and how they were contacted and such.  Obviously this poll was taken on a gaming website, and look at the numbers nearly 75% PS4!!!

 

So you're basically saying that xbox fans are not gamers ?

I think what I said was that this website has a heavy concentration of PS fans.  I then asked about the demographics of the reuters poll.  I then made a demo/this particular website/this particular poll statement.  I think you have come to your own conclusion as to what YOU think the numbers mean.

Dude, get some perspective man! This is obviously a positive Ps4 thread and a negative X1 thread. Of course more Ps4 fans will enter. No one will know it has a poll unless they enter. If you want a more X1 turn out make a thread that says for a title: Poll: Which console will you buy. (but please don't because there has already been enough of those). And yes, Ps4 will still win but thats because more people will buy the Ps4

This is kind of how console libraries have worked for generations. You typically don't have access to MS first party games if you buy a Nintendo console. You are again bickering with yourself.

That's awesome, dude! Not sure what it has to do with what I said, though. When I am deciding about consoles to buy, I like to weigh the library of real, actual games. Not make believe, fantasy games that don't really exist, and make believe titles.

This is a little bit different than a poll on a website.  It's Rueters/Ipsos so they don't just post "what do you guys think?!?!?" and let the fanboys roll in.  It was conducted by professional researchers. It's not a true survey but it's far more accurate than a poll on, say, a gaming site.  It's enough to suggest that the PS4, at this time, has a notable advantage in public perception over the XBox1.
