It actually does need saving. It's only at 5.7 million and it doesn't show many signs of improvement. Sony lost Monster Hunter and developers won't make games for the Vita. I'm am pretty sure it is fairly well supported in Japan. In the west, handhelds are supported, not even the 3DS. In the west, it's the best platform to play your indies on.

While I do agree, America is the  Vita's weakest market. It needs to get more sales. The response of the Vita TV in the west was so great that Sony acknowledged it. If this thing makes it to the West, oh myyyy!

I had no interest in the Vita before, but at 100 bucks there are a few games I'd like to try particularly since my PS3 broke, and I lost my controller. That being said, I can't imagine this being a huge deal in the West. It's a niche item that will appeal to PS3 owners, but not many outside of that audience.

What the Vita needs is top notch software. Nothing else is really going to "save" it.

The Wii U has been out for 10 months and just got a few fantastic titles that could easily influence a purchase. The PS Vita has a few watered down console games and has almost been out for 2 years. Lets be real here.

why? Arent they in the same boat. Both sales suck, saying vita is better than i can say WiiU sold more in the same time frame and no games came out yet right?
