Some of you may have wondered where I've been the last month (probably not tho, whatever :P).

I've been at a dark place with no internet connection beyond my mobile phone's 500MB capped data plan (Is this how being Australian feels like?), which isn't suited for VGChartz at all...

...the Nuclear Power Plant in Stade, Germany.

Almost literally in the middle of nowhere with the next bigger city 50km away (that's a lot in a relatively small country like Germany), 800km away from my home town and without any possible recreational activities this was a REALLY lonely month. Thank god for TV and offline video games.

Working.

I'm studying to be a Radiation Protection Engineer. As part of the curriculum it is scheduled for all students to work at different power plants for half the time it takes to get the degree (1,5yrs total). This one was about as far away from my hometown as possible, the next few power plants I'll work in won't nearly be as far away.

Oh well, at least I got something out of it. Additionally to my regular wage (a measily 500€ after taxes this year -_-) I've received 1300€ tax-free for working so far away :D

Yes. And I'll be the superior. You notice how Homer doesn't do any paperwork? That's going to be my job. Most of the time I won't actually be in the controlled area of the power plant as I'll be the one of the persons managing the workforce and writing the guidelines for the work in the controlled area. The chain of command is non-existant in Springfield's pocket power-plant :P
