Closer to D/P than BW, probably wont reach D/P, may creep up to BW levels. Successful launch though.

I dont kno about US/Europe(how there sales are) but these sales dont include digital sales so it can easily be 2mil which put it ahead of DP which had 3 days of sales vs XY 2 days. Too early to be honest, the legs can make it be the worse selling main pokemon or the 3rd highest pokemon (nothing will pass the first 2 gen sales [7mil G/S and 10mil R/G/B)

Looks like it will be the second best selling Pokemon game when all is said and done.

It's rather sad to see that as generations pass, the legs of these games (or any game for that matter) become weaker and weaker. It really shows the 'I need the newest thing on the market' mentality I partly blame Apple for creating. Interest in products fades much quicker these days, while its value and quality do not, simply because it is no longer new.

That said, I think this Pokemon will have some impressive legs. It is releasing during the same window as big titles like Monster Hunter and Zelda, with Sonic and Mario Party also making an appearance. While not as big in Japan, GTA V also released on the same day which could've taken a little nibble out of its FW sales.

The first 10 weeks I'd say it'll come out on top and after that it'll settle for second place.

2 days? I thought with the media creates it was 1.8 million for 5 days(Oct. 12 - 16), with probably maybe 250K-400K-ish separate downloads (I don't know the state of Japanese downloading, but it's probably not gonna make a huge difference). I still don't think it'll reach D/P levels at the end, because those games had an unusally long life and enough breathing room to grow (despite being IMO probably the worst new Pokemon generational experience since battling was so freakin' slow!!!). And if we take BW into consideration, that died very quickly, even before BW2 was announced. I think it will depend on when the inevitable Z version comes. If Z is announced within the next year, then there's no way it'll even reach close to D/P. 

the week last day was Oct 13th (mon-sun). Lets see, if Z comes then definitely will kill off some sales (if it comes next year) D/P hd 2 years then platinum came!

Not including digital as well. Famitsu numbers says 2.68m with retail download cards (so not including the ones downloaded from customers). That is a big difference! Almost 20%!

thats why i dont inckude in the chart, it makes it look alot better wen yu add that digital number! Also MH4 same way! its 2.75mil sales (retail) but wayyyyy over 3mil now!

That is pretty crazy and well desevered, I'm having a blast with the game.
