Why cant XY beat RB? its easily the most innovative generation. Another factor is the special edition version. there could be a Z. pokemon special editions typically sell 6-7m. so theres that. pokemon is a slow burner, and GTAV looks to be frontloaded. I cant definitively say XY will outsell GTAV, but theres always a chance.

If it ends up at even 4M WW (Both versions)...I would be impressed. No way its gonna beat GTA V...what GTA V will achieve in its first 10 weeks is more than what XY will achieve in its lifetime.

It's crazy talk. If none of the games beat it since the original, and with the DS and it's crazy sales to boot, I dunno how the heck people expect X/Y to do 30m+



only like 3-5 people think it! Just like the 3-5 people who thought psasbr would outsell ssbb lol. It happens, there was somebody here that thinks 3ds will sell over 200mil o.O

4mil? really? least i see it doing is 3.5mil FW even if its 1 day of sales FW (including digital)

Don't know. They seem to be a bit too excited for their own good. Don't know what makes XY so exciting enough to claim something ridiculous like that. Pokemon will never reach sales like RBGY ever again. Even Gen 4 and 5, on install bases larger than the original GB, couldn't outsell the originals. Some Poke-fans need to accept the facts, Pokemon is slowing down...with each generation that comes.

Gen 4 and Gen 5 were incremental increases. Gen 6 is major upgrade. and Pokemon doesnt trend consistently. Success of previous gens dont dictate the success of future iterations.
