Why in the world would anyone expect XY to outsell the originals? Seriously. Were you not around when the originals came out? The word of mouth isn't even comparable. What is the reasoning behind this thinking? There is absolutely nothing that suggests this is possible, but please enlighten me if I'm missing something.

I'm a Nintendo fan and that puzzles me too.

It's not going to happen. Ever.

If it could top a single platform that would be impressive.

4 ≈ One

Lifetime maybe

Nope, notta, no way, impossible, never, zero chance, not by a long shot, etc. Pocket Monster X/Y would have to sell to over 50% of it's install base in one week. That simply isn't gonna happen by any strecth of the imagination.

I'd rather have the game in the OP than either GTA or Pokemon Up/Down (or whatever they are now).

I mean, seriously.

Lol, that would be an awesome game.

yes

Seriously

It's crazy talk. If none of the games beat it since the original, and with the DS and it's crazy sales to boot, I dunno how the heck people expect X/Y to do 30m+

No and GTA still hasn't launched in Japan which will add another 100k to its fw sales which is tiny when were talking about GTA lol

That aint First week sales^
