Despite an erroneous report circulating the web that suggests otherwise, Dead Rising 3 is not coming to Xbox 360.

"Reports from [Eurogamer Expo] that Dead Rising 3 will launch on Xbox 360 are false," reads a tweet sent out by Major Nelson. "It's an Xbox One exclusive - no plans for 360."

Since it was announced at E3, Dead Rising 3 has always been portrayed as an Xbox One exclusive. It's in development at Capcom Vancouver (the former Blue Castle Games), the same team responsible for Dead Rising 2 and its spin-offs, but unlike previous Dead Rising games, it's being published by Microsoft, not Capcom.

IGN's most recent hands-on with the game came at the Tokyo Game Show. The demo showed, among other things, an improved framerate over what was on display at Gamescom.

Dead Rising 3 is scheduled for release on Xbox One alongside the console itself on November 22.

How is it moot? There two threads earlier about a report claiming it would come to the 360 as well. Some people thought it was great, others were disappointed because it was supposed to be X1 exclusive, and others yet didn't care.

Nobody cares because all the people that were complaining about the fact that this game was for 360 (thus creating strange theories) can't keep complaining.

So they actually can't add anything more.

360 owners have State of Decay. This news only sucks for those looking for list wars against Xbone.
