yep coz by now the WiiU version wouldnt have surpassed that had it released in Feb when we had nothing to play on WiiU. Instead they wait until we have a heap of 1st party games and release it then. And they still could have had a PS3 version, it was MS policies that stopped the early WiiU release

the dump move was to delay it on wii U
zumbi U would never sell 500k if released now in september.
the big wii U momuntum was the beggining of the year: the gamepad novelty, no concorrence(intern and extern). some titles take advantage of this: zumbi U, lego city, sonic racing tranformed.
Ubisoft could release wii U version in feburary. it would sell easily more than 100k.
And then, in september, release the ps3 and x360 version.

how blind can you be to not see they are getting 2/3 of their sales on the two other platform? what ever it would have done Ltd on the wii U add 2/3 of that and that's what it will do now that's it's a multiplat. how dumb of Ubisoft to want more money. They should do like they did with zombie U and lose money so the wii U fans can be happy right?

The sale price was only in effect for 2 days, so you're not going to see much of a change. You might see like... I dunno, 3 or 4 thousand extra sold in an ideal scenario. Next week should see more of a difference, but still nothing crazy. Nintendo's marketing has so far been targeted towards hardcore gamers (I've seen that Zelda add so many time), but they haven't really delivered the message to the masses. They need to do that to see a huge spike. They'll soon have the software to do that (Wii Party U, Wii Fit U, Wii Sports Club), so time will tell if they can do it effectively. |
An extra 3-4k would be a pretty dreadful result. Even if it suffered little to no drops next week, we would probably see less than 20k. Out of 165 people, 88.5% were expecting over 20k for this week (with only two days). I mean there is a colossal difference between 3-4k, and a huge spike that needs support from the masses. The hardcore alone ought to facilitate more of a spike than a few thousand.
A few months ago I had no idea that Rayman fans would be so whiny. You lost an exclusive, it happens, get over it. Does it suck for die hard fans? sure. Does it suck financially for Ubi? Nope. They are getting more money now and your still enjoying your game, so give it a rest..
Should be a hardware boost in the UK this week for PS3, there was a very impressive bundle containing PS3 with GTA and TLOU going for between £150 and £200
