So after years of waiting and hoping I'm finally giving up on Onimusha, I thought that Capcom would get tired of making 35 different Street Fighters, Mega Mans and Monster Hunters and bring this franchise out of the shadows but I really feel that they aren't gonna do it. Maybe if I'm lucky they will release the old games on the psn, let the waiting begin....again.

Get your facts straight they abondoned Mega Man a long time ago.

Whoa what's with the hostility? They have made a few MM games after the last Onimusha, though I think all were for DS/Mobile but there were a few. There were also four cancelled games between 2010-2012 so they were putting in work on ol MM.

Sorry I didn't mean to be hostile, but I really despise Capcom for what they did or better yet what they're not doing for Mega Man ='(

EXACTLY

That's a big problem with japanese companies like Capcom: they have TONS of excellent franchises that they could follow up on or just reboot like Power Stone, Rival School, Onimusha, Breath of Fire, Dino Crisis...

Lol no worries, Capcom seems intent on ruining good things.

Onimusha 1,2 & 3 are amongst the best hack 'n slashers of all time.

If Capcom decide not to make Onimusha 5, i would settle for the original trilogy in HD happily.

I always wanted to try one of them...this is the series with the pre rendered backgrounds like REmake, right ?
Samurais and Demons ? Intriguing !

Pre-rendered yes.

The combat, the settings, most boss fights and the music for Onimusha games are all epic though.
