Forums - Gaming Discussion - I'm giving up on Onimusha

So after years of waiting and hoping I'm finally giving up on Onimusha, I thought that Capcom would get tired of making 35 different Street Fighters, Mega Mans and Monster Hunters and bring this franchise out of the shadows but I really feel that they aren't gonna do it. Maybe if I'm lucky they will release the old games on the psn, let the waiting begin....again.

Get your facts straight they abondoned Mega Man a long time ago.

Don't give up. Do it for him:

haha, does he still make movies? I haven't seen him in anything in a long time.

I dunno, but man he was a great character in Onimusha 3.

Join the club. An HD collection would have been nice too. I would definitely buy it if that was needed to encourage the development of a new game.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

It's Capcom. As with Sega, it's best to have zero faith going in.

Onimusha had such a unique atmosphere, I'm not even sure they could replicate that after so much time. Regardless, I expect a smart-phone game eventually.

Whoa what's with the hostility? They have made a few MM games after the last Onimusha, though I think all were for DS/Mobile but there were a few. There were also four cancelled games between 2010-2012 so they were putting in work on ol MM.

I'll never give up, but sadly I wont be surprised if we never see another Onimusha game until Samurais are cool again in the west.  Capcom are a bunch of wuss and scared nobody in the west will be interested so they wont risk it.  Which is probably best for business but I'm certain it can do better than DMC =P

I'm just waiting for Jurassic Park 4 to come out and make tons of money so Capcom can make another Dino Crisis.

I have never played Dino Crisis, I kept saying I would play it but never got around to it.

onimusha 3 and dawn of dreams were some of my favorite ps2 games..capcom ignoring this and treating megaman like shit has been truly a disappointment for myself

@Xbbjf9s and Wright : Of course he still makes movies!

On Topic: I really enjoyed the Onimusha games. But yeah, after 1 whole gen without a game, I have little hope they'll make another one.

Please excuse my bad English.

The first Dino Crisis felt like the original Resident Evil but with dinosaurs.  I much prefer Dino Crisis 2 as the system changed into their own style a bit more and more action oriented.  There was a Dino Crisis 3 for Xbox exclusive but it was in space and that bombed hard.  I would definitely recommned playing the first 2 tho when you do have the chance to.

I sympathize with you. It's always tough when a favorite franchise starts collecting dust -- especially a franchise as good as Onimusha. Sometimes I wish there was some credit system where we could trade in a couple Maddens or Call of Dutys for an extra Onimisha or TimeSplitters or something like that :P
