I don't think it will affect the quality of the game at all.

would probably been better if they also developed it, don't trust S-E anymore

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Hilariously enough, the worst thing about Kingdom Hearts is often the Disney aspect of it.

Having only played the first game, I'll disagree.  I thought the Square Enix part of the storyline was embarassingly bad, while the Disney inspired storyline was actually good.  The darkness, emo Riku, power of the keyblade crap.  Just plain bad.

Moogles be the only redeeming Enix thing^

Why would I worry now about a game that probably won't come out for at least another 4 years?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

So, I just noticed the first KH was published by SONY, and the rest were published by SquareEnix themselves. To my shock and concern however, I see that Disney Interactive Studios is publishing KH III. Should this be cause for concern?

Disney has published decent games in the past (Epic Mickey 1 & 2), but it's mostly been shovelware used to milk a movie or tv show license. Will we end up seeing a Sweet Life With Zack & Cody themed world, or will they let SquareEnix handle the story? Why switch publishers anyway? Was it a money issue, or a control issue?

What say you KH fans?

You're confusing development and publishing.  Disney handled development and publishing of the Epic Mickey games through Junction Point which they funded and hand-picked staff for.

KH III is being developed in Japan by the same team that made Birth By Sleep and KH DDD.  Disney is simply handling distribution.  I doubt their involvement in the direction of the game is any more involved than it was in the previous titles.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Why would we be worried ? Publisher == Developer
Publishing a game is just financing it and getting the income later !

Publishers has a lot of decision power on a game. They have the money and want to get more of it.

In general, I found that the Flashyness that took over the combat in KH2 was far worse, and the lack of Disney stories in entries lie 358/2 Days held certain games back. So I guess I have to disagree with you.

Love and tolerate.

Can anybody clarify the ownership of this franchise? Is it Square or Disney?

I thought I read that Disney owns it. If so, and if Disney doesn't like Square's work, could Disney just tell Square to f*** off and let some other dev continue with the franchise? That's what I'm worried. Unless the deal they have was that Disney owns it but Square is the only one allowed to develop it..

I'm really going to dislike KH if they decide to bring in Marvel/Pixar/Star Wars characters into the KH games.
