Forums - Sales Discussion - GTA 5 sold 1.1M in France (77% on PS3).

GTA 5 sold 1.1M in France during last week according to GFK preliminary numbers.
It smashed previous record from Black Ops 2 (700 000). Take note that GTA 4 did 320 000 sales back in May 2008.

 

 

 

Another piece of information is that 77% of those sales come from PS3 and 23% from 360, indicates GFK.

In UK, ratio was 56/43 in favor of 360 for a total of 2.25M games sold.

These are GTA5 numbers during launch week comparing to FIFA's, previous GTA's and COD's week one sales in the UK.

That's quite a bit, but considering how France has about as many people as the UK, it shows how much more popular the game is in the UK (and gaming in general.)

It was expected. Even tough GTA V will lead on the 360 in the UK, the ratio will be more like 75-25% in the PS3-s favor in mainland Europe.

Fucking shit! Really didn't expect such huge numbers from France. I thought the gaming market is considerably smaller than UK's, and even thought the GTA V gap is big, the overall number of units sold is quite amazing :D Can't wait to see the FW numbers here, and get some info from Rockstar themselves.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
