We're only two months away from the launch of the Xbox One and Microsoft is still yet to show the user interface in a public manner. Yes, it has been demoed behind closed doors and only to members of the press with that, so when members of NeoGAF asked him today why we're yet to receive a video demonstration of the UI, he responded with an apology.

"I'm really, really sorry about this," Penello started, "We've booked to do it a couple times, and my schedule hasn't allowed it. I wanted to get this demo out publicly sooner."

Unfortunately, he still doesn't have an answer as to when it will finally be shown.

"I'm not sure when it's going to happen," he concluded.

It's close enough to the 360 and windows 8. A public showing isn't really needed.

maybe it's the secret sauce? Could the UI over clock the cpu to 3.2Ghz? we don't know, I've never seen anyone said it couldn't, I bet you can download more ram with it

Therese a reason it hasn't been shown to the public. If it's a laggy mess like that one video ( can't remember the source) then i wouldn't show if off to the public either. They need to make sure it as close to the reveal demo as possible, you know the one where he was changing the the screen with the clicker in his pocket?

My guess is the console isn't strong enough to even run the UI.
