I would also like to add something about my experience: I don't think the guys at te company who handled my case were cruel, or evil, or greedy. I'm sure they felt about as bad for me as they could for any person they don't know.

See it from their point of view - say that they pay for every procedure that they're covering, and the company gets into financial trouble. Almost inevitably, their bosses wil hae to cut the payrol or shrink the workforce to make up for these losses. Who in their department do you think is going to be fired: the guy who was stingy and saved the company hundreds of thousands of dollars, or the guy who promptly paid out on every policy?

Please spare a thought to those poor American citizens, 50 million living in poverty. The current government does not give a flying **** about and continues to waste over a trillion dollars on spilling blood for oil in the middle east. Over 3000 US soldiers lives have been wasted in Iraq since 2003 alone and one million Iraqi citizens have died due to disease, starvation or killed by US bombs.

There are a lot of things wrong with this post, but I'll just try a short reply.

1. "Poverty" in the U.S. is not having two flatscreen plasma TVs.  Our folks in poverty are a heck of a lot better off than people in poverty in most other countries.  Not saying their lives are ideal, but please.

2.  Our government wastes trillions, absolutely true, but it's not on blood for oil.  Tell me, how much have we reduced gas prices since our engagments in the Middle East, especially Iraq?  It's gone up by 100%, you say?  Well, surely we must have taken control of Iraq's oil fields and made a killing, or at least taken enough off the top to pay for the war?  No, you say, we are spending billions every day in reconstruction while they keep the oil profits for their own country?  Wow, looks like we're getting a lot of oil for our blood.

3. "1 million" Iraqis dead is a horrible exaggeration.  No idea where you got that ridiculous number.  Most estimates put the number killed at between 50,000-100,000 since 2003 (not that that is anything wonderful, but it's not anywhere near your made-up 1 million).

Poverty is not being able to afford to give your children Chritsmas presents, not being able to pay for their spare time activeties, not being able to feed them the food they need to grow up healthy. That's poverty, and that's a very common thing in the US. Just because it's not how you live, doesn't mean it's not reality for millions of people.

That's out of order Kayanator.

Yeah, somebody named elprincipe doesn't know the true face of poverty in America. Poverty is not being able to afford a second flat screen tv? Are you trying to be funny and make a cruel joke, or are you that far removed from reality? There are people that can't afford to feed their kids properly AFTER the free government handouts.

If you're serious, well, all I can say is that I hope you get a first-hand experience of what it's like to live as someone in poverty in the US. Sure, you'll be better off than the poor in some other parts of the world, and you can keep telling yourself that to keep yourself going.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

I'm not going to read anything other than the initial post in this thread, so I apologize if I'm repeating. But there is no way that Jay Leno wrote that. While he might not be that high on my comedian list. He is above that kind of absurdist jingoistic crap.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Not bad food for thought. However, everything is relative. For example, I'm pretty sure conan is funnier then leno.
